I’m currently not going to be able to pay my rent or food by the end of this month, nor my food…

I’ve been struggling to make ends meet since March as my student finance got stopped and I have no rights to any other student funding, so my entire income collapsed. I have been trying to find a full time job ever since, but to no avail. I’m working part time a few days every month at a school (my study is to become a teacher), but they suddenly dropped the hourly wage from €17 to only €10 an hour… Which would’ve been still okay, had it not been part time.

Now this came at an extremely bad time, as I also have to make sure I’m out of overdraft by the 31st of May as my bank only allows me to stay in overdraft for 3 months straight. The bad thing is also, that my job doesn’t pay me until the 1st of the next month too…

Which basically means that I am going to need around €1000,- by the end of this month.

I have no idea how I’m going to make that kind of money and I am very desperate right now…

on top of that, we’ve been facing a major shortage in oxygen supply (to the point where the govt has decided to airlift oxygen from other nations), a shortage in hospital beds and services. long story short, there’s legislation in the process of being passed that would

• ban girls under 18 from wearing any form of religious head covering in public, and although it’s obviously aimed at muslim women, it would also affect other faith groups that practice similar forms of modest dress
• ban islamic swimwear in schools and public (there is already a modest swimwear ban in place at public beaches, this just extends it)
• ban mothers wearing hijab from entering schools or participating in school field trips or extra curriculars
• ban the slaughter of halal poultry - the cheapest and most easily accessible form of meat protein for the muslim community
• extend school hijab bans to universities
• prevent muslim women from choosing healthcare providers based on gender (which many muslim women prefer to do, since many exams require removal of clothing, etc)
• ban muslim parents from homeschooling
• force halal markets to sell pork and alcohol or face closure
• ban foreign flags at weddings

hey guys! lots of people are asking how to help, so i’m reblogging this again with some more info and resources. please remember that, like i stated before, this is not yet law but in the process of becoming law.

more information is coming out daily, and there are a few corrections and updates to note:

• the modest swimwear ban, though it was overturned in 2016 for public beaches, will still affect public pools and schools
• the halal ban is not technically a “ban”, but it is still expected to severely impact the industry in a way that could produce similar effects and make halal poultry less affordable and accessible to the communities that rely on it as an affordable staple.
• the notion to extend the hijab ban to universities is not yet in effect or being introduced, but many fear it will be the next step

For those who don’t know: 

Tom Ruegger is the original creator of Animaniacs.
He’s the guy you have to thank for the iconic characters Yakko, Wakko, and Dot (for whom the primary inspiration was his own three sons.) Among many others, including the equally popular Pinky and the Brain. 
He was also an involved writer/lyricist for the show and played a huge part in coming up with new song & story ideas.

Yet despite all of this, Tom was never asked back for the 2020 reboot.
In fact, he wasn’t even aware that a reboot was in production until it was announced to the public. Although Tom has expressed plenty of interest in being involved in the reboot, WB/Hulu has repeatedly turned him away.

Tom’s oldest son, Nate Ruegger (voice of Skippy Squirrel,) has spoken out about this on his twitter: 

“the naked greed on display here to reboot a series without involving any of the original creative team so they can make *more* money, & then joke about it, is gross.” (x)

And he’s absolutely right.
Outside of the main voice cast, none of the original team was consulted for the reboot. Tom was/is an integral part of Animaniacs. Without him, the show would never have existed, let alone become a cultural phenomenon. It doesn’t seem right for him to be cut out of the revival of a show that he is largely responsible for bringing to life in the first place.

The mistreatment and blatant disrespect of creators by big-name companies is something I’ve seen way too much of lately, and even though this is far from the first time, that doesn’t make the practice in anyway right or okay.

I’ve seen petitions for this going around, but they rarely gain enough traction, so I’m taking a more direct approach:

I’m asking fans of the series - new & old alike, regardless of your opinion on the reboot itself - to please reblog this.
Or, simply spread the hashtag #BringBackTomRuegger somewhere on your social media.

So that we can let the new showrunners know that we, the fans, want to see Tom brought back for future seasons!!!

I’m not asking for a full rewrite, I just want the man who created these characters to have some say in what happens to them, as he should. Please share to show support, if you agree!
